The length of a rectangle is 2 more than it's breadth. If the breadth is increased by 4 and the length is decreased by 3, the area will be increased by 49cm^2. Find the dimension of the rectangle.

Let l = length of rectangle

w = width of rectangle

l = w + 2

(l - 3)(w + 4) = lw + 49

(w - 1)(w + 4) = (w + 2)w + 49

w² + 3w - 4 = w² + 2w + 49

w = 53, l = 55

The width of the rectangle is 53 cm., and the length of the rectangle is 55 cm.
