The mean temperature for the first 4 days in January was -4°C.

The mean temperature for the first 5 days in January was -6°C.
What was the temperature on the 5th day?

Answer: -14

Explanation:

If u have 4 x's divided by 4 = -4 that shows all the temperatures in total for the first 4 days would equal -16.

if u do the same for the first 5 days you get 5x's and say all of them divided by 5 equals -6 which shows that the temperature for the first 5 days in total equals -30.

You then find the difference between -30 and -16 which equals -14
