Explanation:

To figure out the equation of a line, use the formula y=mx+b, where x and y are the co-ordinate values, m is the slope and b is the y-intercept (where the line cuts the y-axis).

The slope, m, is calculated by dividing the y-difference (in this case, -2.5) by the x-difference (5): -2.5/5 = -0.5

From the diagram, we can see the line cuts the y-axis at (0,-2.5). Therefore b=-2.5

Sub in our values to get: y=-0.5x-2.5
