The answer to this ridiculously phrased question is in the “question” itself: Mitigating hazards caused by climate change- that is the significance (And I think you, or whomever wrote this question, meant to write anthropogenic climate change as there is absolutely nothing anyone will ever be able to do to mitigate inevitable changes in climate.)
