139 = 500 - 19w Subtract 500 from both sides

139 - 500 = 500 - 500 - 19 w

-361 = -19w Divide both sides by -19


(-361)/(-19) =
(-19w)/(-19)

19 = w

A(5) = 500 - 19(5)

A(5) = 500 - 95

A(5) = 405
