How to find this point?

First, the y-axis is defined by the line x = 0, so the points in that line are of the form (0, y)

If we have a point 6 units to the right of this line, the form of this point is (6, y)

Now we know that this point is also 8 units above the x-axis.

The x-axis is the line y = 0, so the points here are of the form (x, 0).

We already know that x = 6, and if we are 8 units above the line y = 0, then the value of y must be 8, this means that our point is (6, 8)
