5+x-14=x-7

x-9=x-7

x=x+2

0=2

Therefore, this equation as no solution

Part B: Let x=-2

5+(-2)-14=-2-7

-11=-9

Let x=0

5+0-14=0-7

-9=-7

Let x=3

5+3-14=3-7

-6=-4

Notice none of the numbers never equal each other so this equation has no solutions.
