John Adams and Benjamin Franklin were both important figures in America's fight for independence. John Adams was a key member of the Continental Congress and helped draft the Declaration of Independence. He was also a strong advocate for independence and helped convince many of his fellow colonists to support the cause. Benjamin Franklin was also a member of the Continental Congress and played a key role in securing support from France, which helped turn the tide of the war in America's favor. He was also a respected diplomat and helped negotiate the Treaty of Paris, which ended the Revolutionary War.
