You have to first, expand the brackets which gives you,
8x+8=8x-8+2x

Then you collect the like terms,
8x-8=10x-8

You have to try get x on one side, therefore you minus 8x.
-8=2x-8

You then add 8 from both sides,
0=2x

Lastly, you divide both sides by 2,
0.5 or 1/2=x

And that is your answer,
