Answer:

To the nearest tenth, we have,

z = 19.9

Explanation:

The missing side is the hypotenuse,

And we are given the side adjacent to the angle,

z = hupotenuse = H = ?

Adjacent = A = 15

Angle = α = 41

Since we have to find hypotenuse and we are given adjacent,

Using SOHCAHTOA,

We know the angle and adjcent but need to find Hypotenuse,

So, we use CAH

or,

cos(α) = A/H

cos(α) = 15/z

(since z = hypotenuse)

zcos(α) = A

z = A/(cos(α))

z = 15/cos(41)

z = 19.8752

To the nearest tenth, we get,

z = 19.9
