Answer: I'm pretty sure they died. Well, only Peter, Edmund and Lucy and a few other people died in a train crash. Later, after they died they found themselves in a "new" Narnian reality after they saw Aslan destroy the Narnia they once knew and they were told that they were killed in a train crash.
