Fistula: Please define this term and review why a fistula might

Fistula is a surgery that connects an artery and a vein, so the vein can get a higher calibre, facilitating the possibility of multiple punctures in the vein for dialysis and it is way more convenient having this surgery than keep a cateter that can cause other problems and lasts between 2 and 4 weeks, while the surgery is for years.
