a^(2)+b^(2)=c^(2) so you insert the values of the legs into it.

A and B are the lengths of the legs.

C is the longest side in the right triangle, or the hypotenuse.


4^(2) +15^(2) =c^(2)


16+225=c^(2)


241=c^(2)


√(241)=\sqrt{c^(2) }

15.52 ≈ c
