NEVER GIVE UP
"Oh Ankit! Since I am your friend, I would like to give you a sincere piece of advice. Don't waste your time, money and energy for something that you cannot achieve."
"How do you say that? Has no person from an ordinary family become an I.A.S?" said Ankit.
"True. But you have already tried twice but failed. So, now you must reconcile with your fate and try to devote your full energy to the job in hand."
"Well, I am not ignoring my job but I have not yet lost hope. I'll try once more." Ankit walked home, lost deep in thoughts. He wondered if his friend was right. His heart and mind both said that he must try again for the I.A.S. So, he gave up the negative thoughts. After taking a light meal, he sat for study. He spent the night in study because the day was spent in the office. He studied till 1 a.m.
He woke up at six. He had heard that the Prime Minister slept for only 3 hours; so why should five hours' rest be not sufficient for him?
Before going to the office, he went to a bookseller. This bookseller was an old friend of his. He lent him costly books at a low rent. This was a great help because Ankit could not afford to buy those books.
The time passed on. Ankit was waiting for the result yet again. He opened the morning paper with a beating heart. Alas! his name was there among the successful candidates.
