Hello!

x² + 3x - 10

The discriminant Δ is calculate by the formula: b² - 4ac

Δ = b² - 4ac

Δ = 3² - 4 * 1 * (-10) = 9 + 40 = 49

The discriminant is > 0 so there are two real roots.
