Explanation:

y = x + 5

y = x² + 5x − 7

Equatig the above,

x² + 5x − 7 = x + 5

⇒ x² + 4x −12 = 0

⇒ x² + 6x - 2x - 12 = 0

⇒ x(x + 6) - 2(x + 6) = 0

⇒ (x - 2)(x + 6) = 0

⇒ x = 2 or x = -6

Eq(1) : y = x + 5 (given)

When x = 2

y = 2 + 5 = 7

Point : (2, 7)

When x = -6

y = -6 + 5 = -1

Point: (-6, -1)
