While I am an advocate for answering truthfully, this is a question that would almost universally be answered best as a "yes." You should respond to this question by detailing your experience working on a group project, sports, or volunteering in your school's student council.

A common, but direct answer, could be:

During previous group assignments I have often found myself among the one or two people in the group of students motivated to do the project, while the rest wait for input and direction, if they work at all. Through careful organization and planning, I have successfully managed to coordinate a group of students to work equally on projects, resulting in a better project overall.

Easy.

β€œIn the past, I have had the opportunity to motivate and foster team spirit among my classmates during a group project in university. Our task required collaboration, effective communication, and shared ownership to achieve a successful outcome. However, at the initial stages, there was a lack of enthusiasm and a sense of individualism within the team. To address this, I organized regular team meetings to establish a positive team culture and encourage open dialogue. I emphasized the importance of each team member's contributions, highlighting their unique strengths and how they complemented the overall project goals. By fostering a supportive environment, providing constructive feedback, and celebrating small victories, I was able to motivate my classmates, boost their morale, and ultimately enhance our collective performance. As a result, the team's cohesion improved, and we successfully delivered a high-quality project while cultivating a sense of camaraderie and shared achievement among our classmates.”
