In 2015, various types of identity theft fraud were reported. The percentage of victims by age and the types of fraud are shown in the charts. Government documents/benefits fraud had the highest percentage of victims at 49.2%, followed by credit card fraud at 15.8%. The other types of fraud reported were loan fraud, bank fraud, employment fraud, utilities/phone fraud, and other. The set of types of identity fraud that made up less than 20% of all reported cases are: loan fraud, bank fraud, and employment fraud. The set of identity theft types that made up more than 50% of all reported claims is government documents/benefits fraud.
