sum the 3 angles and equate to 180

2x + x + 45 + 2x + 40 = 180

5x + 85 = 180 ( subtract 85 from both sides )

5x = 95 ( divide both sides by 5 )

x = 19

Then

2x = 2 × 19 = 38°

x + 45 = 19 + 45 = 64°

2x + 40 = 2(19) + 40 = 38 + 40 = 78°
