y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

here slope m = - 7 , then

y = - 7x + c ← is the partial equation

to find c substitute (- 13, 1 ) into the partial equation

1 = - 7(- 13) + c = 91 + c ( subtract 91 from both sides )

- 90 = c

y = - 7x - 90 ← equation of line
