A shopper buys 4 apples costing 60p each and 3 peaches .

They pay with a £5 note and receive 44p change .
Each peach costs same amount .
Work out cost of one peach .

Answer:

Cost of peach is 72 p each.

Explanation:

Total amount was 5x100 = 500 p

Amount of apples were ( 4 x 60) = 240 p

Received change = 44p

Total amount for 3 peaches were = 500-240-44 = 216

Cost of 1 peach =
(216)/(3)

= 72p
