if i solve this following order of op, for 5 × -6, am i supposed to multiply 5 × (-6) or -5 × (-6)? I'm so confused ​

40÷2−5×(−6)

Step 2

40÷2−5×(−6)

20−5×(−6)

Step 3

20−5×(−6)

20+30

Step 4

I hope this helped! Like I mentioned before, you need to do multiplication/division from left to right first before subtraction/addition from left to right. This is why in step 3 we do −5×(−6).
