Answer:

Classical method:

= a traditional way of teaching that can be used to teach languages.

Sentence - The classical method is a technique used to teach languages.

Relative frequency method:

= a tool in statistics to calculate the proportion of the occurrence of an event in a sample or population.

Sentence - Using the relative frequency method we calculated that our favourite team has a relative winning frequency of 75% because they won 1 out of 4 games.

Subjective method:

= a method based on factors such as personal opinions, feelings, experiences, or anything that can introduce bias.

Sentence - I used the subjective method to determine which food my friend should try.

Event:

= anything that happens, especially something important or unusual.

Sentence - Welcome to the family event!

Complement:

= a part of a clause that usually follows the verb in English and adds more information about the subject or object.

= to help make something or someone more complete or effective.

Sentence - I added images to complement my PowerPoint.

Step-by-step explanation:

Classical method:

  • For English, the classical method splits the English learning process into three stages. The first stage is learning grammar (from K - grade 6); the second stage is learning logic (grade 7 - 8); and the third stage is learning rhetoric (grade 9 - 12).
  • It is also called "The Grammar-Translation Method."

Relative Frequency Method:

Equation:

Relative Frequency = (f)/(n)

  • f = Frequency count of subgroup or category
  • n = total events or trials

Subjective method:

  • For my example, the determination of which food my friend should try could be based on others' opinions about the food. But note that if one person likes the food, it doesn't mean everyone else has to like it too.

Events:

Examples:

  • Wars
  • Parties
  • Elections
  • etc.

Complement:

  • In the sentence "the air is fragrant" the complement is "fragrant".
