a reflection across the x- axis would have the image points above the x- axis , which they are not

the line x = 4 is a vertical line passing through all points with an x- coordinate of 4. Since X (4, - 7 ) then X would remain as its own image.

y = - 5 is a horizontal line passing through all points with a y- coordinate of - 5

X (4, - 7 ) → X' (4, - 3 )

the y- coordinate of X is 2 units below y = - 5

the y- coordinate of X' is 2 units above y = - 5

Similarly for the y- coordinates of Y, Y' and Z, Z'

a reflection across the y- axis would have the image points to the left of the y- axis, which they are not.

thus the line of reflection is y = - 5
