Perimeter:

Perimeter is the measurement of the distance around the figure. I started on the far left of the rectangle and then went around counter clockwise.

3 + 3 + 3 + 5 + 3 + 3 (this is not labeled, but I see that the other sides is 3)

+3 + 5 + 3 + 3

8(3) + 2( 5) = 24 + 10 = 34

The perimeter is 34 cm

Area:

Area of the rectangle

a = l x w

a = 10(3) = 30

Area of the triangle

a = 1/2 (l x w)

a = 1/2(4 x 3) = 1/2(12) = 6

There are 2 triangles so the area of both is 12

Total area: 30 + 12 = 42

The area is 42
cm^(2)
