A store offers a 30% discount on a clarinet that was marked up by 5% form the original retail price for $405.the sales tax is 9%. What does the clarinet cost?.

$405 +$ 20.25 = $425.25 is the new total of the clarinet

Now 30 % of $425.25... $425.25×0.30= $127.58 is what 30% is.

You have to subtract th $127.58 from $425.25 to get the discounted price.

$425.25 - $127.58 = $297.67

Next you have to calculate for the 9% and add it to the discounted price.
