The figure is then divided into 2 parts : Triangle TSU and trapzeoid SUQR.

The area of any given triangle is ah/2, where a is the length of the base and h is the length of the height.

The area of any given trapezoid is (a+b).h/2, where a and b are the lengths of the bases and h is the length of the height.

-> The area of the given figure is : (11-7)(5-(-3))/2 + [5-(-3) + 3-(-3)] . (7-0) / 2 = 4.8/2 + 14.7/2 = 65 (square units)
