When I see "use technology," I'm assuming that your teacher is allowing you to use some kind of graphing calculator to find the solution, so that's what I'm going to do.

On Desmos, which is an online graphing calculator, I entered both equations and two lines showed up on the graph. The point of intersection, or solution, is emphasized on the graph: (5, 6). I encourage you to try this for yourself, since it's pretty easy, but I've attached a screenshot of the graph that I was able to make just in case you're still confused.
