\cos(A )=\cfrac{\stackrel{adjacent}{47}}{\underset{hypotenuse}{61}} \implies \cos^(-1)(~~\cos( A )~~) =\cos^(-1)\left( \cfrac{47}{61} \right) \\\\\\ A =\cos^(-1)\left( \cfrac{47}{61} \right)\implies A \approx 39.60^o
