The transportation of water is a necessity in plants due to the fact it is a limited requirement for growth. Because many plants and other organisms require water for development, water is limited when it comes to survival. Without water, the plant cannot evolve; glucose cannot be produced because the plant cannot photosynthesize itself. Plants need water to grow, and failure to acquire it can lead to a population depletion not only in plants, but also in animals and possibly humans.
