Answer: x=8

Explanation:

Given:

<A = 69

<B = 5x + 2

<C = 9y - 3

Rules to know:

>Those 2 lines on AB and BC means that the 2 sides are equal. That also means that the 2 angles that correspond to those sides are equal.

So <A=<C

>All angles of a triangle add up to 180

Solution:

<A = <C >substitute

69 = <C > You do not need to solve for y because <A=<C

>All angles of a triangle add up to 180

<A + <B + <C = 180

69 + <B + 69 = 180

138 + <B = 180

<B = 42

Substitute back in:

<B = 5x +2

42 = 5x + 2

40 = 5x

x = 8
