Y=-2x-1; y=-2x+6; is this parallel, perpendicular, or neither

y=-2x-1, we know that the slope is -2 (due to y=mx+b, where m is the slope)

y=-2x+6, we also know that the slope is -2.

since the slope is equal, it would be parallel.

However, if the slopes were negative reciprocals, (e.g. 1/2 & -2) they would be perpendicular.

If the slopes were neither negative reciprocals or equal, it would be neither.
