In “the hill we climb “by Amanda Gorman, the author uses logical reasoning to persuade readers in America to see the perspective of the author on recent economic, social and political issues. readers are to understand that America’s future is dependent on its people working together. The author brings up issues in both the past and present to reach her intended audience. One line of rhetorical devices used in this poem is when Amanda says “every breath from my bronze pounded chest.” this descriptive language could be seen as imagery and a metaphor for growth and development in America.
