I had my tonsils removed when I was about nine, I am now 18 and have noticed that my I have ._. *regrown* my right tonsil

It is about the size of a ladybug if not a little smaller, I did notice as well that there’s a tiny dot on it like a stone, I don’t know if I shouldn’t have done this but I pushed it with a clean q tip but didn’t remove it

Now it’s reddish and irritated, my question is, could touching it with a q tip make the regrown tonsil bigger? Or promote growth?? I won’t push it with a q tip anymore, just in case

Answer: Tonsils can grow back actually!

Step-by-step explanation:

This isn't to say it will grow back fully, but it can partially grow back. During a tonsillectomy, the majority of your tonsils are removed but there is always a chance that there will be leftover tissue remaining. Depending on the person, the tonsils can regenerate over time. It's more common amongst those who had their tonsils removed at a young age. If you're feeling unsure, check with your medical professional.
