How do I know if someone has Huntington's disease by looking at gel electrophoresis? Is it the same way sickle cell disease would be identified?

A blood sample is taken, and DNA is purified away from the rest of the cells. In order to test for Huntington's Disease, the DNA will have to be amplified by PCR and separated using agarose gel electrophoresis. The primers will be towards the HTT gene. so i would say yes, sickle cell disease would be identified the same way as huntington’s disease with a simple blood test
