The inverse function (or reciprocal function) is
f(x) = (1)/(x).

The x-values you can use are everything except for 0, since 1/0 is undefined.

If you look at the graph, you'll also notice that the graph never touches the x-axis, meaning a y-value of 0 is never used. So the range is also all real numbers, except for 0.

So the domain is
\{ \ x \ | \ x\in\mathscr{R}, \ x\\eq0 \ \} and

the range is
\{ \ y \ | \ y\in\mathscr{R}, \ y\\eq0 \ \}.
