Answer:

LM = 16, TU = 24 , QP = 32

Explanation:

the midsegment TU is half the sum of the bases, that is

(1)/(2) (LM + QP) = TU

(1)/(2) (2x - 4 + 3x + 2) = 2x + 4

(1)/(2) (5x - 2) = 2x + 4 ← multiply both sides by 2 to clear the fraction

5x - 2 = 4x + 8 ( subtract 4x from both sides )

x - 2 = 8 ( add 2 to both sides )

x = 10

Then

LM = 2x - 4 = 2(10) - 4 = 20 - 4 = 16

TU = 2x + 4 = 2(10) + 4 = 20 + 4 = 24

QP = 3x + 2 = 3(10) + 2 = 30 + 2 = 32
