If all the squares are 1cm. Then this is easy.

All you need is these formulas:

Triangle: 1/2 base x height

Rectangle/square: base times height.

For the goofy looking shapes (A and E) split them by drawing a line to create a triangle and rectangle.

Then count the number of boxes on the base of the shape and height.

Use the formulas and add the areas together.

To find perimeter just add up all the boxes that are on the outside of the shape.
