Explanation:

x^2 -y^2 = 25

x/y = 3/2 or x = 3/2 y <=====sub into first equation

(3/2 y)^2 - y^2 = 25

9/4 y^2 - y^2 = 25

5/4 y^2 = 25

y^2 = 25 (4/5) = 20

y = sqrt (20) = 2 sqrt 5

then x = 3/2 y = 3 sqrt5
