-> The scale 1:100 means that every measurements in the plan will probably represent a size of 100 times larger in real life.

-> For example:

Adam is drawing a plan of an office room with a scale of 1:100. In the plan, it is shown that the width of the room is 0.8 feet. We then proceed to calculate the width in real life as follow:

0.8 × 100 = 80 ft

=> So the width of the office room is 80 ft.
