Option B) If the sum of the squares of the two short sides equals the square of the longest side

  • It is because if we apply Pythagoras Theorem which is

  • {hypotenuous}^(2) = {base}^(2) + {perpendicuar}^(2)
  • If the left side (hyp^2) is equal to the right side (base^2 + per^2) then the triangle is right angled triangle.

  • Hypotenuse is the longest side

  • And base and height are the other two sides
