Can anybody help me with this please? A card is randomly selected from a standard 52-card deck. Find the probability that it is NOT a face card. Answer needs to be in decimal form rounded to two decimal places.

Answer:

0.77

Explanation:

one king, one queen, one jack for each suit. these are face cards.

there are 4 suits (hearts, diamonds, clubs, spades).

so there are 3 X 4 = 12 faces cards.

P(face card) = 12/52.

P(not face card) = 1 - 12/52

= 40/52

= 0.77 to two decimal places
