the local blood bank should have at least 1350 pints of blood on hand but they currently only have 72 pints of blood. they know they'll run out if a large disaster occurs. the bank is currently increasing their supply at a rate of 61 pints per week. how long will it take for them to have at least 1350 pints of blood?

Answer:

≥20.95 weeks or 21 weeks (if rounded)

Explanation:

Needs 1350 pints of blood has 72 pints at the moment and adds by 61 pints a week. This can be represented by 61x+72≥1350, subtract 72 by both sides.
61x\geq1278, then divide by 61. This comes out to be around 20.95, if rounded up it is 21 weeks
