HELP ME PLS IM GIVE 50 POINT Which of the points plotted is farther away from (−7, 8), and what is the distance?

A graph with the x-axis starting at negative 10, with tick marks every one unit up to 10. The y-axis starts at negative 10, with tick marks every one unit up to 10. A point is plotted at negative 7, negative 5, at negative 7, 8 and at 5, 8.

Point (5, 8), and it is 11 units away
Point (5, 8), and it is 13 units away
Point (−7, −5), and it is 12 units away
Point (−7, −5), and it is 13 units away

The point farthest away from (-7, 8) is (5, 8), and the distance between them is 12 units.

To calculate the distance between two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) on a graph, you can use the distance formula:

distance = √[(x2 - x1)²+ (y²- y1)²]

Plugging in the values for (-7, 8) and (5, 8), we get:

distance = √[(5 - (-7))²+ (8 - 8)²]

distance = √[(12)² + (0)²

distance = √(144)

distance = 12

Therefore, the point farthest away is (5, 8), and the distance is 12 units.
