\huge\text{Hey there!}

\mathtt{2x + 15 = 27 - 4x }

\mathtt{2x + 15 = -4x + 27}

\large\text{ADD 4x to BOTH SIDES}

\mathtt{2x + 15 - 4x = -4x + 27 + 4x}

\large\text{SIMPLIFY it}

\mathtt{2x + 4x + 15 = 27}

\mathtt{6x + 15 = 27}

\large\text{SUBTRACT 15 to BOTH SIDES}

\mathtt{6x + 15 - 15 = 27 - 15}

\large\text{SIMPLIFY it}

\mathtt{6x = 27 - 15}

\mathtt{6x = 12}

\large\text{DIVIDE 6 to BOTH SIDES}

\mathtt{(6x)/(6) = (12)/(6)}

\mathtt{x= (12)/(6)}

\mathtt{x= 2}

\huge\text{Therefore your answer should be:}\\\\\huge\boxed{\mathtt{x = 2}}\huge\checkmark

\huge\text{Good luck on your assignment \& enjoy your day!}

Answer:

x = 2

Explanation:

2x + 15 = 27 - 4x

add 4x to both sides:

2x + 15 + 4x = 27 -4x + 4x

that is 6x + 15 = 27

subtract 15 from both sides:

6x + 15 - 15 = 27 - 15

that is 6x = 12

divide both sides by 6:

x = 2
