Answer: An early warning sign of a tsunami is an occurrence of an earthquake. Protect yourself first during an earthquake and follow the Drop, Cover, and Hold safety protocol. Another indication of a tsunami attack is a recession of water levels below an unexpected low tide. Stay out of the water and get to higher ground immediately as far as possible.

Approaching tsunamis is usually preceded by a very noticeable rise or fall of coastal waters, this is called a natural warning.
People should move immediately when they see this action occur, when the sea starts draining. DO NOT, go and investigate but quickly get away as fast as possible.
