Do people really make genuine choices, or are their behaviors dictated by their physical natures combined with the environmental circumstances? After all, don't things like brain tumors, depression, social conditioning, trauma, etc. cause our behaviors to be different? In other words, don't those things dictate out behavior?

Answer:

While physical and environmental factors can certainly influence our behavior, people have the ability to make genuine choices. People have the ability to reflect on their experiences, consider different options, and make decisions based on their own values and goal. It is true that things like brain tumors, depression, social conditioning, trauma can affect our behavior, but they do not entirely dictate our behavior. We have the power to make choices and change our behavior, even in the face of adversity.
