A human rights violation refers to any action or behavior that infringes upon the basic rights and freedoms that are guaranteed to all individuals, regardless of their race, gender, religion, nationality, or any other characteristic. These rights include, but are not limited to, the right to life, liberty, and security of person, freedom of expression, freedom of religion, and the right to a fair trial. Human rights violations can take many forms, including discrimination, torture, slavery, forced labor, and political repression, among others.
