Just want some honest feedback for this (wide reading assessment)

Wen Zhou's struggle to reconcile her dual identities is at the heart of the novel. Caught between her desire to please her traditional Chinese father and her wish to live her life on her own terms, she grapples with familial responsibilities and societal pressures.

Throughout the story, Wen Zhou faces numerous challenges that make her feel powerless and trapped. She experiences the trauma of domestic violence and feels the sting of racism and sexism. One particularly poignant moment comes when she says, What I feel most days is that nothing is ever going to change. That my life won’t even start, and that I’ll be stuck like this forever. This quote reflects the sense of hopelessness that she feels as she tries to find her place in the world.

Despite these challenges, Wen Zhou is a determined and resilient character who refuses to be defined by others' expectations. As she learns to embrace both her Chinese and Australian identities, she discovers the power of her voice and uses it to stand up against the injustices she faces. Her journey is an inspirational testament to the strength of the human spirit.

Tiger Daughter is a powerful and emotional novel that resonates with readers of all ages. It offers a nuanced perspective on the complexities of cultural identity and the challenges faced by many immigrants and their children. Wen Zhou's story is a reminder that no matter how difficult life may seem, there is always hope for a better tomorrow.
