Solution(s):

q11: 5

q12: 36

q13: k=5w+36

q14: The first option

Step-by-step explanation:

Question in your given image:

Duk collected 36 grams of pebbles for his large yard. He plans to collect an addition 5 kg each week.

For Question #11 and Question #12, based of the question from above we can conclude that the slope is the value 5 and the y-intercept is the value 36.

Question #13 asks us to represent the situation as an equation where "k" represents the total amount of pebbles (in kg) after "w" number of weeks.

This is simply a linear equation and we can use the slope-intercept formula, y=mx+b. Where "m" is the slope and "b" is the y-intercept.

Substitute the values we know into "m" and "b." We would have,

==> y=5x+36

What variables replace x and y? Well x is the input value and we want to input the number of week "w." y is the output value from which we can see the total mass of pebbles so "k" is the correct substitution.

Thus, to answer question #13, k=5w+36.

For the final question we already answered it.

x=input value=w(amount of weeks) and y=output value=k(total pebbles in kg)
